Our Website
Our website is to enable the people of Bideford and visitors to see what the Pollyfield Community Centre is all about. The aim is for you to visit and join as a member or maybe just come along and join in the activities available at the centre. We have a wide range of regular activities as well as one off events. You don't have to pay to become a member! We run the Shamwickshire Bar, where you can come along with friends and have a drink and play pool, darts and crib or just meet the locals!

So why not visit us!

We are Volunteers
The Trustees of Pollyfield and the Directors of the Bar are all volunteers, we don't get paid for what we do. We want to serve our Community and try to get as many people as possible involved at the Centre. Our main aim is to make people feel at home when visiting us and to encourage local people to use our facilities and benefit from the services we provide.

New Plans

Our future plans for the Pollyfield Centre include a new extension, which will be at the back of the Centre, overlooking the town, and will consist of a new Boxing Club for Bideford Boxing, a new Youth Centre, and Restaurant area. This has gone out to tender and the plans have been approved to go ahead.  If you would like to see the plans come to Pollyfield and ask the Centre Manager.
